St. Louis – Amanda Kaltwasser scored a pair of goals and added an assist as the Maryville women's soccer team defeated Missouri S&T 3-0 Wednesday afternoon at Maryville Field. Elyse Waterhouse faced two shots to earn her fourth consecutive shut-out of the year in the victory.
 
What Happened – The Saints got on the scoreboard early in the contest as Kaltwasser took a cross from Casey Gonzales and found the back of the net from 6-yards out to give Maryville a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. Kaltwasser extended the lead with a goal in the 59th minute as she slid a shot past the Miners goalkeeper from 3-yards out to give Maryville a 2-0 advantage. Caite Huesgen gave the Saints a three-goal cushion as she collected a pass from Kaltwasser and drilled a shot from 17-yards out to give Maryville a 3-0 lead in the 66th minute. 
 
Inside the Numbers – The Saints held an 11-2 advantage in shots with Kaltwasser leading the way with four. Kaltwasser's goals were her fifth and sixth of the season and she now is leading the team 16 points.

Up Next – The Saints have qualified for the 2018 GLVC Women's Soccer Championships that will begin on Sunday. The brackets for the championships will be released later this evening after the completion of the regular season games tonight.
