McKendree Recap
The Maryville volleyball team was looking to split the season series against McKendree but the Bearcats instead clinched a bid to the 2018 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a three-set win. The Saints had rallies fall short in the first two sets as the visitors won by scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-11.

What Happened
The Saints trailed 8-4 in set one but scored three straight.
Cassidy Arndt had a kill, and after a Bearcat error, Arndt's service ace pulled the Saints to 8-7. Maryville was still only one 9-8 after a
Taylor Schellert kill. McKendree used a 6-1 run to pull away. The Saints never got closer than three in the opener. McKendree led by double digits until the Saints tallied three straight.
Liz Eardly had a kill,
Kayla Buxton recorded an ace and a McKendree error pulled Maryville to 15-8. A
Faith Ahlhardt service ace cut the gap to 16-10 before the Bearcats used a 5-1 burst to win the set. Early in the third set, Schellert and
Kayla Nystedt had a block as the Saints were within 6-4. An Eardly kill cut the gap to 12-8 but the Bearcats went on a 6-2 run to close out the match
