Box Score Missouri S&T recap
The Maryville volleyball team won the opening set at Missouri S&T but the Miners rallied to down the Saints in four sets. Missouri S&T claimed the victory by scores of 16-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.
Allison Lakin paced the Saints with a season-high 14 kills while Taylor Schellert accounted for six blocks on the evening.
What Happened
Cassidy Arndt had the first two kills and helped Maryville built a 3-1 edge. Lakin finished two straight plays as the Saints went up 5-2. The Miners tied the set at 7-7 before the Saints reeled off four consecutive points. Missouri S&T closed the gap to just one until Maryville steadied itself with another 4-0 run capped by a block by Lakin and
Taylor Schellert. The Saints kept their advantage and closed the set win on a block by
Liz Eardly and Arndt.

The Saints were down 14-12 in the second set before reversing the margin with four straight points. Eardly's service ace put the Saints up 16-14.
Taylor Stirton's ace built a 20-16 lead. However, the Miners used an 8-0 run to even the match.

Missouri S&T scored eight of the first nine points in set three as cruised to a 2-1 lead in sets. The fourth set was tied at 7-all before Maryville converted four straight points. Lakin and Schellert had a block to spark the run. Schellert and
Mikaela Kues had a block as the Saints went ahead 11-7. The Miners tied the set at 15-15 and were up 17-16 before scoring four of the next five points to close out the win.
