Tiffin recap
Casey Teson poured in a career-high 29 points in just 26 minutes of action as the Maryville men's basketball team cruised to a 98-84 victory over Tiffin. The game was the season opener for both teams in the GLVC-GMAC Crossover Tournament. Teson sank 12-of-16 shots in his best career output. The Saints scorched the nets at a 56.9 percent clip, hitting 41 of 72 shots from the field.

What Happened
The Saints trailed 8-6 before embarking on a 12-0 run to take the lead for good. Teson scored the first 10 points of the burst. He began it with a layup and then a three-point play. Teson drilled a 3-pointer and added a mid-range jumper.
Robin Thompson scored in the paint. The Saints extended the margin to 21-10 after a
Dezmond McDaniel triple. Midway though the first, Maryville tacked on another 12-0 outburst.
Chaz Glotta hit a jumper, and
Jordan Gary followed. Two Teson free throws and a layup pushed the lead to 15.
Eugene Jones converted a short jumper, and Teson's layup grew the advantage to 37-18. Maryville took a 54-32 lead into the break.

In the second half, Tiffin got as close as 61-44 but the Saints pushed back with seven straight points. After a 3-pointer by Glotta,
Jordan Oliver and
Jordan Gary converted for a 68-44 lead.
Robin Thompson's bucket built the biggest lead of the night at 80-54 and the Saints eased to the win.
