The Maryville women's basketball team was looking for its third straight victory but McKendree stopped the Saints 68-47 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup.
Erin Lenahan tallied a career-high 19 points to lead Maryville.

What Happened
The Bearcats jumped out with the early lead by scoring the first nine points of the game.
Katie Diakhaby finally scored to get the Saints on the scoreboard, and
Stephanie Sherwood knocked down a jumper.
Abby Monis hit a layup, and one free throw by
Kayla Steward trimmed the gap to 17-10. Midway through the second quarter, Lenahan made a short runner to pull Maryville to 29-20. However, the Bearcats went on a 10-2 run to close the half.

Midway through the third, the Saints made a run with a 10-0 burst. Lenahan started the run, and
Mary Barton added a jumper. Lenahan then scored six straight points in 21 seconds with two free throws and back-to-back steals leading to layups to pull the Saints to 47-34 with 3:01 left in the quarter. However, the Saints were unable to pull any closer in the final 10 minutes.
