St. Louis – The Maryville men's soccer team could not overcome a pair of second half goals as the Saints fell to No. 7 Ohio Valley 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Maryville Field.
 
What Happened – The teams battled to a scoreless tie after the first 45 minutes of the match, in which each team had two shot each. The Fighting Scots cracked the scoreboard in the 47^thminute to grab a 1-0 lead. Ohio Valley added an insurance goal 10 minutes later to extend the lead to 2-0. The Saints had an opportunity in the 82^ndminute as a shot from Eyob Tadesse skipped off the top of the crossbar.
 
Inside the Numbers – Ohio Valley outshot the Saints 8-6 in the contest with five of those being on goal.
