Quincy recap
Faith Ahlhardt pounded down eight kills on the road at Quincy but the Maryville volleyball team lost in three sets to the Hawks 25-17, 25-10, 25-18.  The coaching matchup featured Maryville head coach Gretchen Moser facing her daughter, Abby, who is the head coach at Quincy.

What Happened
The Saints fell behind as the Hawks scored the first four points of the opening set. After trailing by eight points, Maryville used a 3-0 burst to cut the QU lead down to 18-13. Ahlhardt started the run, and Taylor Stirton served an ace. An Allison Lakin kill closed the burst but the Saints could not get closer. Quincy roared out to a double-digit cushion in set two. Maryville had its best run with a six points in a seven point span. Cassidy Arndt had three straight kills, and a block by Taylor Schellert highlighted the run. In the third set, the Saints opened with a 3-0 run. Arndt put down a pass, and Ahlhardt followed with a kill. Arndt notched a service ace to give the Saints the early lead. After Quincy tied the set, Liz Eardly notched a kill, and a Hawks' error led to a 5-3 edge. The set was tied at 7-7 before the Hawks pulled away to seal the win.
