Drury Recap
The Maryville volleyball team was looking to hand Drury its first league loss of the season but the Lady Panthers remained perfect in GLVC action. Drury won the first two sets 25-16, 25-20 before the Saints took the third set 25-21. The set win was the first for Maryville over Drury since the 2015 season. The Lady Panthers closed out the match by grabbing the fourth set 25-16.

What Happened
Elizabeth Eardly had a kill and a DU hitting error pulled the Saints to within four. Drury tallied six straight to take the lead and the opener. Back-to-back kills by
Faith Ahlhardt and
Allison Lakin put the Saints up by two points in set two. Eardly finished another pass for a 9-7 edge. The set was tied 11-11 until the Lady Panthers went on a 6-1 burst to grab control. The Saints made a push during a 5-1 run and trimmed the gap to 20-18. DU tallied three straight to take the second set.

The Saints had their best hitting effort of the match in set three while holding DU to its lowest mark. Drury scored the first four points before the forged a 6-6 tie. The Saints used a 5-1 run as a Lakin kill,
A.J. Hallemann ace and a block by Lakin and Eardly put Maryville ahead. An Eardly kill pushed the Saints ahead 23-18. Drury scored three straight but a kill by
Cassidy Arndt and an Eardly ace gave the Saints the win.

Drury again scored the first four points of set four before Maryville answered with three-in-a-row. However, DU used a 5-0 burst to take a lead it would not surrender.
