Winona State recap
Maryville put five players in double figures but Winona State rallied for an 82-76 victory in the first game of the QU Subway Classic in Quincy, Ill. The Saints led for 26 minutes of the game but the Warriors came back in the fourth quarter. Jayda Jansen paced Maryville with a season-high 15 points and seven assists.

What Happened
Early in the second quarter, the Saints were down by one before consecutive buckets by Abby Monis built a 23-20 lead. A 10-3 burst pushed Maryville up 37-27. Jayda Jansen and Karlee Feldman scored baskets. After Winona cut the deficit to 31-26, Jansen and Donnetta Colbert rained in triples for a 37-27 advantage. The Saints went into halftime up 37-30.

Winona State cut into the Maryville lead and closed to within 51-49 before the fourth quarter. The Saints shot 58.8 percent in the final 10 minutes but the Warriors were even better by hitting 10-of-13 shots in the quarter to rally for the win. Winona State shot 52.7 percent for the game to offset the 20 assists by the Saints.

Jansen paced the Saints with 15 points, while Mary Barton finished with 14. Taylor Kirby tallied a career-high 13 points, Abby Monis contributed 12, while Hunter Stidham chipped in 11 points.
