No. 13 Maryville wrestling hosted the Dr. Mark Lombardi Duals Sunday and posted a 1-1 record Sunday. The Saints defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 56-0 but No. 2 Notre Dame rallied to defeat Maryville 19-15

Against the Panthers, the Saints won all 10 matches and recorded five falls.
Anthony Pisciotta ignited the match at 125 with a 19-2 tech fall.
Alex Waggoner notched the first of three straight pins for the Saints with a fall at the 2:10 mark in his 133 match.
Tyler Stegall recorded the fastest pin in the match as he won in just 46 seconds at 141.

Tristan Barr followed with the third straight fall in his 149 match at the 2:09 mark. It took
Tyler Harrington just 1:02 to pin his 165 foe, and
Matt Pratt recorded his pin at 174 in 2:30.
Logan Radik worked for a 4-1 decision in his heavyweight match to close out the first dual for the Saints.

Taking on the national runner-ups from last season, the Saints took the early lead with a 6-1 decision by
Tyler Kreith at 125. Notre Dame took the 133 match behind No. 4 Hunter Bray, but Stegall answered for the Saints with a 4-3 win at 141. The Falcons won the contest at 149 as No. 6 Taylor Misuna won 8-4 as well as the 157 bout by a narrow 2-1 decision. Harrington won a meeting between two ranked foes at 165 via a DQ, and Notre Dame lost two team points due to conduct.

Notre Dame garnered two more close wins by two points apiece at 174 and 184.
Ethan Sherertz shut out his foe 3-0 at 197 to give the Saints a 15-13 team lead heading into the final match. However, NDC's Kameron Teacher, who is No. 1 at 285, picked up a fall at 4:43 to help the Falcons rally for the victory.

The Saints are next in action at the NCAA Regionals Saturday, Feb. 23, in St. Charles, Mo., hosted by Lindenwood University.
