Chaz Glotta tallied a team-high 20 points but Drury shot nearly 62 percent and dealt the Maryville men's basketball team an 80-52 defeat at the O'Reilly Center  Thursday night. Glotta sank five 3-pointers en route to his highest output in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game this year. The Saints shot 87.5 percent (14-of-16) at the free-throw line.

What Happened
Drury used a 9-0 burst to take a 13-4 lead. Jerome Davis scored on a layup but the Panthers took a double-digit lead. Chaz Glotta sank a 3-pointer to spark a 7-0 Maryville run. Casey Teson added two free throws before a triple by Bobby Harvey pulled the Saints to within 21-14. Drury made a 3-pointer but Glotta answered from beyond the arc to make it 24-17. Drury stayed hot form the field and took a 41-25 lead fueled by shooting 63 percent from the field.

The Saints made a small run early in the second half with five straight points. Jerome Davis sank two free throws, and Glotta completed a 3-point play. The were unable to trim the gap to less than 20.
