Montevallo recap
The Maryville men's lacrosse team rallied to post its fifth straight victory with a 16-13 triumph at Montevallo Sunday afternoon.
Lucas Shafer recorded seven assists in the game and finished with nine points to lead the way. The Saints were down 5-0 but scored six straight times to take the lead. Maryville used a 5-1 run in the third quarter to take control.

What Happened
Montevallo flew out to a 5-0 lead in just over four minutes but the Saints responded with their big run.
Ty Wenck started the goal rush, and
Jacob Allen tallied the second. After
Owen Kehoe made it 5-3,
Jayden Fraser pulled the Saints to within one. Shafer tied the game at the 4:04 mark, and Kehoe's second score put Maryville up 6-5.

Early in the second, the Falcons were ahead 8-7 before the Saints scored three straight times.
Ethan Symons found the back of the net, and Fraser scored twice, the last coming late in the half, to push Maryville on top 10-8.

Montevallo tied the game at 10-10 but Kehoe and Wenck tallied for a 12-10 margin. The host squad pulled one goal back before the Saints took control with a 3-0 run.
Jacob Allen scored and
Richard Cato, Jr., tacked on another. Wenck fired in a goal for a 15-11 lead heading to the final 15 minutes. The Falcons scored twice to inch to within 15-13 with 10:59 remaining. The Maryville defense took over and did not allow another goal, and Shafer's tally with 1:41 left sealed the victory.

Liam Coyle had a season-high 16 saves in goal. Fraser finished with four goals and four assists, while Kehoe and Wenck both tallied three times.
