Jayda Jansen finished with 13. The Saints shot a season-high 56 percent (28-of-50) from the field to key the victory.

On Senior Day, the Saints led 12-11 after one but outscored the Tritons 24-13 in the second quarter.
Mary Barton had a layup, and Sherwood drained a 3-pointer for a 17-11 edge. Barton and Sherwood scored back-to-back buckets, and a deep Sherwood triple was good for a 24-13 lead two minutes into the quarter. After UMSL scored, Sherwood splashed in another trey, and a
Jayda Jansen hoop extended the edge to 29-15. The Saints settled for a 36-24 lead at halftime. Maryville shot 62.5 percent in the second quarter.

The Maryville margin held in double-digits from most of the third quarter and was 59-49 heading into the fourth. The Saints made nine of 13 shots in the third quarter. Consecutive triples by Jansen and
UU Longs and a layup by Longs built a 67-49 lead with 7:40 to play in the game. Sherwood sank a 3-pointer as Maryville took its biggest advantage of the day at 72-52 at the 6:05 mark. UMSL made one last push but an 8-0 run sealed the win. A layup by
Abby Monis started the burst and two free throws by Barton and four from Sherwood rebuilt an 80-62 lead as the Saints cruised to the win.

What's Next?
The Saints closed the regular season at 18-9 record and earned the No. 5 seed for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament. Maryville plays No. 4 seed Truman State Friday, March 8, at 8:30 p.m. at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
