The Maryville men's lacrosse team challenged No. 8 Indianapolis but the Greyhounds used a 6-1 run that led to a 14-7 win over the Saints.
Lucas Shafer and
Jayden Fraser both had two goals for the Saints in the final home game of the 2019 season.

UIndy scored the first three goals the game before the Saints answered with a 3-0 run.
Ty Wenck tallied the first Maryville goal. Shafer scored with 40 seconds left in the first quarter, and
Jacob Allen tied the game just 16 seconds later for a 3-3 tie after the first 15 minutes. The Greyhounds scored four in the second quarter while holding the Saints scoreless to grab a 7-3 lead.

Ethan Symons opened the third quarter with a goal off a feed from Shafer to pull Maryville to within 7-4 at the 8:58 mark. UIndy put two more on the board in the third to build a 9-4 advantage. The Greyhounds scored three-in-a-row to begin the fourth quarter. Fraser broke the UIndy run with a goal. The Saints mounted a late charge with back-to-back goals in the waning minutes but the visitors held on to set their school record for wins in a season at 11.
Liam Coyle had his second highest save total of the season with 19.

After dropping their second straight to a ranked team, the Saints stand at 9-4 overall, 3-3 in the GLVC. UIndy is 11-1, 5-0 in the conference. Maryville closes the regular season at Lindenwood Saturday, April 20.
