Covert moved to third on a groundout and scored as Derek Renner hit a sacrifice fly to right field to give the Saints a 2-0 advantage. Klotz picked up his second RBI of the game with a single up the middle in the fifth to extend the Maryville lead to 3-0. The offense continued to produce in the fifth as Camdon Mercier ripped a double off the left field wall to score Klotz and give Maryville a 4-0 lead. Elbe tacked on another run in the sixth as he laced an RBI single to left field to put the Saints ahead 5-0.
