Maryville University Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation Lonnie Folks has announced Danielle Roland as the Coordinator of the Saints Cheer and Dance programs. She comes to Maryville after working at the Universal Cheerleading Association since May 2018.
 
At the UCA, Roland served with the Southwest Region UCA staff as an instructor for summer cheer camps. She traveled to different schools teaching stunt curriculum, assisting coaches with AACCA/NFHS rules and helped motivate young individuals to become confident leaders through cheerleading activities. Roland developed schedules, planned activities and created team bonding opportunities.
 
Roland graduated with two bachelor's degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2017. During her UCO career, she earned two selections to the Vice President's Academic Honor Roll. In her final two seasons, Roland helped the Bronchos win the Collegiate Cheer National Championship in 2016 and 2017. She also worked on the Endeavor Games and volunteered for the UCO Big Event during her time at Central Oklahoma.
