Hasecic Aids Saints to a 4-0 Win Over Southwest Baptist

St. Louis – Mirza Hasecic scored a goal and added an assist to help the ninth-ranked Maryville men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Southwest Baptist Sunday afternoon at the Lou Fusz Soccer Complex. The win extends the current winning streak to six games and is the best start for the Saints in program history.

What Happened – Ben Brodie opened the scoring for the Saints as he took a pass from Mirza Hasecic and buried it into the left side of the goal in the sixth minute to put Maryville ahead 1-0. Salman Khan added to the Saints lead with his first career goal just before half as he put a pass from Braden Johnson and slid a shot past the goalkeeper to put Maryville on top 2-0. Hasecic extended the advantage to 3-0 as he placed a shot from 16-yards out into the upper right corner of the goal in the 57th minute. Zulfikar Karimi finished the scoring in the 65th minute with a blast from the top of the 18-yard box to make the score 4-0.
