The Maryville University volleyball team recorded a season-high .333 hitting percentage to cruise past Oakland City 3-0 Wednesday evening. The Saints topped their previous best hitting mark of .326 against Lynn. The victory snapped a four-match skid for the Saints. Set scores were 25-11, 25-18, 25-9.

What Happened?
The Saints dominated in the opening set as they cranked out a .367 kill percentage. The Maryville defense proved to be the difference in set two as it held the Mighty Oaks to a .000 hitting mark. The Saints closed out the match with a sparkling .542 hitting percentage in the final set. Maryville used an early 5-0 to take command, and put the set away with two different 6-0 runs.

By The Numbers:
Cassidy Arndt had a match-high 16 kills.
Elizabeth Eardly chipped in six kills, while
Adriann Welte added five.
A.J. Hallemann controlled the OCU attack with 18 digs.
Kayla Buxton recorded 18 assists, and
Ali Vaughn finished with 12 assists.
Maryville reached double-digit aces for the second time this season with 10.
The 15 kills by OCU are the second fewest by a Maryville opponent this season.
