Drury recap
Against the No. 1 team in the country, Drury, the Maryville women's basketball team held the Panthers to their second lowest scoring output but lost a 70-60 decision Thursday night in Moloney Arena.
Mary Barton tallied 22 points and set a career high with eight rebounds, while
Abby Monis added 13 points and also pulled down eight boards.

What Happened
Karlee Feldman scored consecutive buckets late in the first to give the Saints a 16-13 lead after one quarter.
Jayda Jansen opened the second with a layup as the Saints went up by five points. Drury made one free throw but Barton drilled a 3-pointer as the Saints grabbed a 21-14 lead with 7:27 left before halftime. However, Maryville would not score for nearly five minutes as Drury rallied for a six-point lead. A Barton triple got the Saints offense going again. Monis scored in the lane just before the buzzer to trim the Drury lead to just 31-30.

Barton opened the third quarter with a long 3-pointer and a 33-31 advantage. Drury answered with 12 straight points to take a double-digit lead. Monis scored to pull the Saints to within 43-35, and a bucket by Feldman kept the Saints at just 46-38. The Panthers closed late for a 55-38 advantage. The Saints tried to rally and did not allow Drury to score over the last three minutes. Maryville went on a 10-0 run to close the game but did not have enough time to come all the way back.

The Saints shot 50 percent from the field (21-of-42) from the field and knocked down eight 3-pointers. Barton sank a season-high six 3-pointers en route to her 22 points. Monis made six of her seven field goal attempts, while Jansen finished with 11 points.
