Led by career nights from
Mary Barton and
Jayda Jansen, the Maryville women's basketball team won its third straight road game with a 76-61 decision at Quincy. Barton poured in a career-high 28 points, while Jansen drilled five 3-pointers en route to her best career scoring output of 25 points. The Saints shot 52.8 percent (28-of-53) from the field and 55.6 percent (10-of-18) from 3-point range.

What Happened
Maryville grabbed the lead by scoring the first seven points of the contest.
Karlee Feldman powered up for a layup, and Jansen drilled a 3-pointer. Feldman scored again in the lane for the 7-0 as the Maryville defense kept Quincy scoreless for the first three minutes. Barton made a 3-pointer and a layup as the Saints took a 16-10 lead after the first. Up 16-12, Maryville reeled off an 8-0 burst. Barton sank two free throws, and Jansen tacked on a jumper. Barton drilled consecutive jumpers for a 24-12 lead. The Saints built a 27-14 cushion and settled for a 36-24 margin at halftime.

The Saints kept the advantage in the third quarter by shooting 58.3 percent from the field on 7-of-12 marksmanship. Jansen hit two free throws and a long 3-pointer for a 53-36 lead as Maryville took a 56-41 cushion into the final 10 minutes.
UU Longs knocked down a shot, Barton drilled a triple, and
Abby Monis' jumper capped an 11-4 run that pushed the Maryville margin to 69-48 with five minutes to play. The margin was never less than 13 points as the Saints cruised to the road victory.

Barton went 11-of-17 from the field and sank four 3-pointers. Jansen hit eight of her 14 field goal attempts, including a 5-of-8 performance from beyond the arc. Longs and
Abby Monis tied for the team's rebounding lead with six boards apiece.
