Drury recap
Owen Long recorded a season-high 20 points but Drury downed the Maryville men's basketball team 76-65 Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Mo.
Jalen Gant added 17 points, while
Dezmond McDaniel chipped in 14 points.

What Happened
Kamto Eze threw down a dunk, and a McDaniel 3-pointer put the Saints ahead 13-9. The Panthers pulled back to 13-11 before
Owen Long sank a 3-pointer, and
Parker Long pulled up for a fastbreak jumper and an 18-11 lead. McDaniel drained a triple at the 8:46 mark for a 23-18 advantage. Drury took the lead with a 7-0 run before
Owen Long answered with a 3-pointer to put the Saints back up 26-25. Gant scored inside at the 2:042 mark for another 31-29 Maryville margin but Drury closed the opening half with a 36-33 lead.

McDaniel's jumper tied the game at 38-all two minutes into the second half but the Panthers went on a 9-2 run to jump back ahead. Gant ended the DU run. Later, back-to-back buckets by
Owen Long drew the Saints to 50-47 with 11:17 remaining. However, Maryville was unable to retie the game in the final minutes as the Panthers pulled away late.
