Jalen Gant hit 6-of-9 shots and finished with 18 points but the Maryville men's team was not able to topple No. 19 Indianapolis as the Greyhounds emerged with a 71-57 victory in Moloney Arena.

What Happened
Parker Long scored off the opening tip but the Greyhounds took a 7-2 lead.
Ross Ryan scored on a short jumper in the lane to keep the Saints close.
Chris Williams nailed a short jumper to cut the UIndy lead to 14-12 at the 9:53 mark. The Greyhounds scored seven straight and eventually built a 24-14 advantage. Gant threw down a dunk and a Williams jumper pulled the Saints to 24-18.
Dezmond McDaniel drained a long 3-pointer as Maryville closed the gap down to 27-23. The Greyhounds hit three 3-pointers down the stretch of the first half and took a 36-27 lead at halftime.

The Saints opened the second half with a rush as Gant scored in traffic, and an
Owen Long 3-pointer brought the deficit to just 36-32 after two minutes. The UIndy cushion was still only 41-37 after a three-point play by
Owen Long. The Saints were on the short end of a 47-41 score but the Greyhounds scored eight of the next 10 points to go up by 55-43.
Kamto Eze scored in the lane to end the UIndy burst but the Saints were unable to trim the gap to single digits. The Greyhounds were hot from 3-point range and converted 10 times from behind the arc.
