Truman State recap
Jalen Gant matched his season high with 22 points but Truman State shot 52.1 percent to move past the Maryville men's basketball team 94-65 Thursday night in Moloney Arena. Gant also snared six rebounds, while
Chris Williams added 12 points.

What Happened
The Bulldogs sank a 3-pointer to open the contest before Williams and Gant tallied to put the Saints ahead 4-3. Truman retook the lead until Gant sank a jumper to bring the Saints to 8-6. The teams traded baskets, and an
Owen Long pull-up jumper brought the Saints to 18-14. Maryville trailed by eight until the Saints scored five straight. Williams had a three-point play, and Long sank a jumper as the Saints stayed close at 29-26. However, Truman State scored 12 straight to take a 43-28 lead at halftime.

Gant knocked down a short jumper to start the second half but the Bulldogs tacked on a 10-2 burst.
Dezmond McDaniel hit a 3-pointer and a long jumper as the Saints were down 53-37. However, Truman State scored seven of the next nine points and Maryville was unable to pull the gap back down to single digits.
