Quincy Recap
The Maryville women's basketball team swept a home-and-home series with Quincy as the Saints soared past the Hawks 80-51 Thursday in Quincy, Ill. Maryville beat QU 74-70 Tuesday afternoon in St. Louis.
Antoinette Mussorici tallied 22 points, while
Karlee Feldman added 14 points as the Saints won their third straight game.

What Happened
The Saints led 16-13 after the first quarter and were up 19-18 before embarking on a 10-0 run. Mussorici started the burst with a jumper, followed by a 3-pointer and another bucket.
Jayda Jansen drilled a triple for a 29-18 cushion. The Saints stretched the margin to 36-23 on a
Taylor Kirby put back at the buzzer.

Still up 41-28, Maryville broke away with an 11-3 run. Kirby sank two free throws, and Jansen scored in the paint.
Hunter Stidham drained a trey. After a QU score, Feldman worked in the lane for a layup, and two more at the line by Kirby pushed the advantage to 52-31. Early in the fourth, another 3-pointer by Stidham and a hoop by Feldman pushed the margin to 25. The Saints pushed their lead to as much as 35 in moving on to close out the contest.

Feldman finished with 14 points, while Kirby chipped in 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Jansen pilfered five steals in the game. Maryville shot 50 percent (8-of-16) from 3-point range and also committed just nine turnovers. The Saints defense held QU to just 32.8 percent shooting, and the Hawks' leading scorer only had 10 points.
