Drury Recap
Coming off a win over No. 7 Truman State, the Maryville men's basketball team looked to build a two-game winning streak. However, Drury stymied the Saints in an 86-59 decision Sunday afternoon in Springfield, Mo. Three-point shooting was key in the contest as the Panthers hit 14 triples, while the Saints managed only six makes from beyond the arc.
Owen Long paced the Saints with 18 points and tied his career high with nine rebounds.

What Happened
Drury was started off hot from 3-point range and hit its first four attempts from deep.
Owen Long made two free throws and a jumper to keep the Saints close.
Kamto Eze battled inside for consecutive layups and trimmed the Panthers' lead to 28-14. Long hit a triple, Maryville's first of the game, and
Davis Walker followed with another from deep. Walker and Long then added consecutive jumpers to pull the Saints to within 41-26 late in the first half. Long hit two free throws prior to a Farris three-point play as the Saints closed to 52-31 with 15:34 left in the game. Maryville would not get any closer as it dropped its bid for back-to-back victories. The Saints shot 90 percent from the free-throw line.
