Katie Nash collected eight saves for the Maryville University women's soccer team in Friday's Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup with Drury University. The Saints defense pushed the match to double overtime, but the Panthers were able to score off a free kick in the 108
th minute to take the contest 1-0.

The Run of Play – Nash was called on early to make a leaping save that pushed a Panther shot over the crossbar in the second minute. The Saints had multiple corner kicks in the opening frame, but the only dangerous chance came from sophomore
Maddie Dickerman in the 43
rd minute with a low shot that was stopped by the Panthers.

The second half started just like the first half, with Nash collecting a big save to keep the match scoreless in the 46
th minute. Sophomore
Halle Ezell had an excellent chance in the 57
th minute with a quick turn and shot from just inside the 18-yard box that was stopped by the Drury 'keeper.

The GLVC clash was forced to overtime, and Nash continued her spectacular performance with another huge save in the 98
th minute to keep the match scoreless. In the 108
th minute, Drury headed a ball off a free kick past Nash to take down Maryville 1-0.

Inside the Numbers – The eight saves for Nash are the second most on the year, only behind the nine save effort she produced against Nova Southeastern in early September.
