What Happened
Set one was tied at 5-5 before the Saints reeled off five straight points.
Abbie Schnell tipped in a point to start the run and she followed with an ace.
Ashlyn Clayton and
Mikaela Kues combined on a block that built a 10-5 advantage. The Flyers responded and eventually took an 11-10 edge.
A.J. Hallemann served an ace to cut the Lewis lead down to 14-13 but the hosts used a late push to win the opener.

Maryville again grabbed an early lead and the edge stood at 5-2 after a solo block by
Avery Bell. The Flyers crept back into the set. Down 10-9, Kues had a kill and she worked with Clayton for a block and an 11-10 Maryville lead. The set was tied 13-13 before Lewis scored five straight to eventually take the set 25-17. The Flyers got off to a fast start in the third set and scored the first six points before a Kues kill got the Saints on the board. A Lewis miscue and a kill by
Makenna Brauman brought the Saints to within 9-5 but Maryville was unable to inch any closer the rest of the set.
