Maryville University Athletics will host "Moonlight Madness" 2021 at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in Moloney Arena. Admission is free and open to the public as the Saints basketball teams begin practices for the 2021-22 season.
 
The first 200 Maryville University students to present their ID will receive a special Moonlight Madness t-shirt. Doors to the Simon Athletic Center will open at 7:30 p.m. and D.J. Witz will entertain the crowd during the evening.
 
Moonlight Madness is the first opportunity to see the basketball teams in action. The Saints wrestling squad will be introduced, and fans will see performances by the Saints Cheer and Dance squad, the STUNT team and the Maryville Pep Band. A 3-point shooting competition between the men's and women's teams will be held as well as a short scrimmage by both basketball teams. Great Lakes Valley Conference championship rings will be handed out for the titles won by the Saints men's soccer team and the men's golf team, as well as an Overwatch national championship banner by the Maryville eSports team.
