Mason Crew pushed the Maryville University men's soccer team to its fifth straight win Friday afternoon with an overtime goal against the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

The Run of Play – The Saints got off to a fast start with a goal in the second minute.
Fabian Wetl played a ball back to
Cedric Sengl on the right wing who sent a lofted ball to the back post where
Mirza Hasecic used a one-time finish to collect his team-leading sixth goal of the year and give the Saints an early 1-0 lead. The Tritons had no real chances until the 44
th minute when a handball was called on the Saints in the box. The penalty shot was fired by UMSL to the left side of the net, but goalkeeper
Nick Hemann was up to the challenge and made a sprawling save to keep the zero on the visitor's side of the scoreboard.

UMSL used a penalty kick in the second half to send the match to overtime locked at 1. Maryville wasted no time in the extra period as
Ricardo Andrade whipped in a cross that found Crew who slotted home the game-winner in the 92
nd minute.

Inside the Numbers – The Saints have now won five games in a row which is the most since the seven wins the program had to start the Spring campaign.
