St. Louis, Mo. – Sunday afternoons Maryville University men's soccer match against Lindenwood University was a tale of two halves that saw the Saints come out victorious, 3-1. Seniors
JD Sohn,
Mirza Hasecic, and
Ben Brodie scored in the second half to complete the come from behind victory over the chippy crosstown rival.

The Run of Play – The Lions struck first with a one-timer in the 21
st minute to take a 1-0 first half lead. The Saints had chances off corner kicks in the late portion of the half, but the Lions took their lead into the halftime break.

The second half was all Saints and it started in the 53
rd minute with
Dom Riggio playing
Ricardo Andrade into space on the left wing where he lofted a beautiful ball to the back post that found a streaking Sohn for a clinical one-time finish into the side netting to even the match 1-1. Ten minutes later, Andrade received a bouncing ball with his back to the goal and played in Hasecic who was able to get off a left footed shot from eight-yards out that dribbled past the outstretched 'keeper and gave the Saints a 2-1 lead. th minute, goalkeeper
Nick Hemann stepped off his line to boot a clearance that found Hasecic at midfield. The senior quickly created space and played Brodie in past the last Lions defender and the forward was able to chip the goalkeeper to provide an insurance goal for Maryville, who went on to win 3-1.

Inside the Numbers – This was the fourth come from behind victory of the season for the men's program, three of which have been after giving up the first goal of the match.
