St. Louis, Mo. – For the first time in program history, the No. 10 Maryville men's soccer team defeated the No. 1 team in the nation with a 3-2 triumph over Indianapolis.
Dom Riggio scored the game winner to hand UIndy its first loss of the season in a clash of top-10 teams.
The Run of Play – The top-ranked Greyhounds broke on top with a score in the sixth minute of play. The Saints drew even when
Cedric Sengl converted from the penalty spot in the 36ththt minute as the contest moved to halftime deadlocked at 1-1.

Midway through the second half,
Victor DeGiorgio collected a pass from
Ricardo Andrade and guided a shot into the far side of the UIndy net for a 2-1 lead in the 61st minute. The Saints looked to close out the game but UIndy found an equalized at the 79-minute mark. With overtime looming, Riggio took a corner-kick pass from Sengl and headed in the game-winning goal with just over eight minutes to play to give the Saints the thrilling victory.
