Warrensburg, Mo. – The Maryville men's basketball team scored the final five points of the game to down Central Missouri 57-54 Friday afternoon in Warrensburg, Mo. Freshman
Dylan Ingram nailed a 3-pointer with 1:20 remaining which proved to be the game-winning points. After a defensive stop,
Daniel Farris scored in the waning seconds for a three-point lead. UCM's final 3-pointer misfired as the Saints won in their first true road game of the season. Ingram and Farris led Maryville with 15 points apiece.

What Happened:
Down 6-2, the Saints scored seven straight to jump ahead.
Donovan Parker hit a jumper,
Cameron Scales also sank a shot, and
Dylan Ingram's 3-pointer put the Saints on top 9-6. The Saints broke a 14-14 tie when
Ben Palacios and Ingram scored back-to-back buckets for an 18-14 edge. Still up 20-19,
Daniel Farris' layup ignited an 11-0 burst.
Kelvin Swims nailed a 3-pointer and later sank two free throws.
Ari Jackson hit a triple as the Saints took a 30-19 lead and settled for a 32-24 edge at halftime. Maryville shot 60 percent in the first half (12-of-20) while holding UCM to just 32.1 percent (9-of-28).

Jackson and Ingram opened the second half with consecutive 3-pointers as the Saints built a 38-26 advantage. UCM chipped away at the Maryville lead, and the Saints were clinging to a 42-36 edge but Palacios sank two free throws for a 44-36 lead with 9:14 left in the game. The Mules finally tied the game at 48-all before two more at the line from Farris pushed the Saints back ahead 50-48 with 4:49 remaining. UCM deadlocked the game at 50-50 but Farris had the answer for a 52-50 advantage. The Mules scored four straight points to set up the Saints stirring rally in the final 80 seconds.
