Carsyn Fearday finished with a career-high 14 points and eight rebounds as the Maryville women's basketball team eased to a 72-56 win over Harris-Stowe. The Saints shot 52.9 percent from the field to key the victory.

What Happened:
The Saints claimed a 20-10 lead after the first quarter by shooting 57.1 percent from the field, while limiting the Hornets to just a 23.5 percent mark. Maryville kept up the pressure and took a 34-25 lead into halftime.
Hunter Stidham added 10 points. The Saints shot 52.9 percent in the contest.

Harris-Stowe chipped away at the Maryville margin and closed the gap down to just 48-45.
Hunter Stidham scored the final basket of the third quarter, and the Saints took a 52-47 lead early in the fourth. Fearday converted a layup and followed with a 3-pointers.
Abby Weis drilled a triple from the wing as the Saints built a 60-47 advantage. Maryville's margin grew to as many as 17 points as the Saints won their home opener.
