Head Maryville baseball coach Pat Evers announced the 50-game schedule for the 2022 season Wednesday afternoon. The Saints are coming off a 19-21 record last spring and are looking to get back to the GLVC Tournament for the first time since 2019, Evers' first year at the helm.
 
The baseball program kicks of the season with three games at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, as a part of the 2022 Houston Winter Invitational. The first matchup pins the Saints against the University of Central Missouri Mules at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11. Maryville then takes on Arkansas Tech Saturday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a morning game with the University of Arkansas at Monticello Sunday, Feb. 13, at 10:00 a.m. to wrap up the invitational.
 
The men start home competition for the second year in a row with two doubleheaders against Hillsdale College Saturday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 27. The Hillsdale matchups are the beginning of a 15-game home stretch that sees Truman State, Missouri S&T, Quincy, and Illinois Springfield come to Weber Field.
 
Great Lakes Valley Conference Play begins Friday, March 25, at Rockhurst University and concludes with a four-game set at UMSL from May 6-8. The GLVC baseball tournament will start Thursday, May 12.
