Jake Foster fired in five goals and
Justin Morgan added four scores as the Maryville men's lacrosse team shut out Quincy 19-0 Saturday in Quincy, Ill. Ten different Saints scored at least one goal. The margin of victory is the largest in program history. The fewest goals Maryville had previously given up in a game was three at Lindenwood-Belleville April 25, 2017, and against Union Feb. 11, 2018.
What Happened
Morgan tallied the first two goals of the game, and Foster followed up with the next two scores for a 4-0 lead after the first quarter. The Saints took control in the second and found the back of the net seven times.
Ethan Olson fired in a goal, and
Tyler Wenck scored to make it 6-0. Foster added two more scores, followed by another by Olson. Morgan recorded his hat trick and tacked on his fourth of the day. The Saints added five in the third quarter and closed the game with four scores in the final 15 minutes.

Jonah Heaton made seven saves on the day to preserve the shutout. Morgan added three assists to finish with seven points, while Olson tacked on a helper for four points.
