Chesterfield, Mo. – The No. 11 Maryville men's DI hockey team earned a weekend sweep of No. 7 Missouri State this past weekend at the Maryville University Hockey Center. The Saints took the opening game over the Bears 4-3 and completed the sweep of Missouri State Saturday evening with a 5-3 victory to run the winning streak to five games.
Friday night, the Saints beat Missouri State by a score of 4-3. Goalies
Dominic Boily and
Johny Massara recorded time and timely saves to share the team victory.

Jack Harrison,
Anthony Stavrou, and
Brad Boudreau each scored a goal with Boudreau securing the game winning power play score with seven minutes left in the contest.
The close scoring games continued Saturday night as the Saints took a 3-0 lead midway through the second period with goals by Boudreau and
TJ Prexler. The three-goal lead was short lived as the Ice Bears came back to tie the game at 3-3 with 10 minutes left in the third period. Harrison scored on the man advantage with four minutes remaining off a behind the net pass from Prexler. With the Missouri State goalie pulled in the last minute of the contest, Stavrou secured the win with an empty net goal.
The D1 Saints only have two games left this spring regular season. The regular season finale takes place on March 20 -21 versus the McKendree Bearcats at the Maryville University Hockey Center.
