Rockhurst Recap
The Maryville volleyball team faced Rockhurst to open its tri-match slate in Springfield, Ill. The Saints won the first set 25-21 but the Hawks rallied to take the final three sets 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.
 
What Happened
Hannah Scrum recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs, and Mikaela Kues also tied for the team-high 12 kills. Karolina Rodowski added 10 kills and had a scorching-hot .450 hitting percentage. Abbie Schnell came close to a triple-double with 39 assists, 13 digs and seven kills.

Illinois Springfield Recap
In its second match of the day, the Saints faced host Illinois Springfield but the Prairie Stars handed Maryville a defeat in three sets. USI won 25-17, 25-18, 25-18.
 
What Happened
Hannah Scrum again led the Saints as she reached double-digit kills with 10. Rachel Hurt hit .385 and added six kills. Taylor Hasbrook led the squad with 11 digs in the outing. The Prairie Stars were effective hitting the ball and recorded a kill percentage of at least .355 in all three sets.
