Indianapolis Recap
In a clash of ranked squads, No. 14 Indianapolis handed the No. 12 Maryville men's lacrosse team its first loss of the season with a 12-5 decision Wednesday at the Maryville Athletic Complex. The Greyhounds scored five straight goals to break a 3-3 tie and eventually ended the Saints' winning streak at five to start the season.
What Happened
Ben Foster opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game to push the Saints ahead.
Ethan Olson picked up a pass from
Parker Lee and found the back of the net to double the Maryville lead. UIndy finally scored with two minutes left in the first quarter to get on the board. The visitors tied the game early in the second before taking a 3-2 lead.
Jake Foster scored to tie the game at 3-3 at the 9:36 mark of the second quarter. The Greyhounds took a 5-3 lead into halftime.

Indianapolis added two goals in the third while keeping the Saints off the scoreboard to grab a 7-3 margin heading to the final quarter. The Saints crawled back into the game after Olson scored, and a
Tyler Wenck goal cut the deficit to 8-5. However, the Greyhounds won the ensuing faceoff which led to a quick goal. UIndy tacked on another score and did not surrender another Maryville tally the rest of the way.

Seeing his first collegiate action in the nets,
Nick Tomalia came up with 10 saves on the day.
Cooper George went 7-for-10 at the dot as the Saints won 10 of 19 faceoffs.
