Mirza Hasecic scored a goal and added a pair of assists to power the Maryville men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over William Jewell Friday evening at Greene Stadium in Liberty, Mo.
Liam Walraven made two saves to aid the Saints to its third consecutive win to start the spring season.
What Happened – Dom Riggio put the Saints on the scoreboard in the 34
th minute as he collected a rebound off a header from Hasecic and scored from 4-yards out to put Maryville ahead 1-0. Hasecic added to the Maryville in the 59
th minute with a shot from 10-yards out off a breakaway to make the score 2-0.
Cedric Sengl added an insurance goal for the Saints as he drilled a shot off a pass from Hasecic from 8-yards out to put Maryville on top 3-0.
Inside the Numbers – The Saints held a 10-3 advantage in shots with six of those being on frame. Sengl led the Maryville attack with five shots while Hasecic added two shots in the win.
