Liberty, Mo. – The Maryville women's soccer team scored two goals in the first half and cruised to a 3-1 victory over William Jewell Friday evening at Greene Stadium in Liberty, Mo. The Saints placed 17 shots on goal to earn its second win of the season.
What Happened – Kennedy Reeser jump started the Maryville offense in the 20
th minute as she ripped a shot from 15-yards out into the upper left corner of the goal that gave the Saints a 1-0 lead. 
Lexi Gentry and 
Brooke Slater were credited with assists on the play. 
Alex Johnson added to the Saints lead with a strike off a stolen pass from 10-yards out in the 36
th minute to make the score 2-0. Maryville extended the lead in the 55
th minute as 
Molly Krispin took a centering pass from Gentry and scored from 5-yards out to put the Saints on top 3-0. The Cardinals cut into the lead in the 69th minute off a corner kick to put the score at 3-1
 
Inside the Numbers – The Saints outshot William Jewell 23-4 in the contest with Johnson leading the attack with seven shots. Gentry finished the game with a pair of assists. 
Elyse Waterhouse had a save to earn her first win of the season.
