Indianapolis – The Maryville baseball team could not overcome a five run fifth inning as the Saints fell to the University of Indianapolis 5-2 Thursday afternoon at Greyhound Park in Indianapolis, Ind.
Game One:
Dominic Connolly got the Saints offense going in the top of the fifth inning as he ripped a two-run single through the left side to score
Michael Gould and
Jamie Young to give Maryville a 2-0 lead. The Greyhounds answered in the home half of the frame with five runs of their own to take a 5-2 advantage. The Greyhounds only allowed one baserunner over the final four innings to secure the series opening victory.
