Mirza Hasecic collected his third goal of the season Friday afternoon to lead the Maryville men's soccer team past Truman State University by a score of 1-0.

The Run of Play – The Saints pressed early and took advantage of a Bulldogs turnover in the seventh minute when
Ricardo Andrade found Hasecic outside of the box and the midfielder hit a laser into the upper right corner to give Maryville a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Saints goalkeeper
Liam Walraven was called upon to make a save in the 54
th minute, which was the only shot on goal the senior faced. Truman had one chance late, but the Maryville defense came up big with a shot block in the 89
th minute to secure the shutout and 1-0 win.

Inside the Numbers – This was the 17
th meeting between the two schools and with the win, the Saints have an 8-7-2 edge over the Bulldogs all time.
