Kirksville, Mo. – The Maryville University women's soccer team fell behind early Friday afternoon to Truman State University and were unable to rebound after a lengthy lightning delay. The Saints dropped the GLVC contest with the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

The Run of Play – Senior
Kennedy Reeser had the first chance of the afternoon with a shot in the second minute that missed wide right of the goal. Truman State capitalized on their first two attempts of the game in the 10
th and 15
th minute to take a 2-0 lead.

The match entered the halftime break before lightning prevented the teams from stepping back on to the field for nearly 90 minutes. After the delay, the Saints were only able to put one shot on frame and could not stage a comeback. Maryville fell 2-0.

Inside the Numbers – The Saints outshot the Bulldogs 7-5 for the entire game and 4-0 in the second half.
