The Run of Play – Eight minutes into the match, former Saint
Alex Johnson netted a goal for her new team and put the Cardinals ahead 1-0. The Saints outshot the Cardinals 8-2 in the period but could not find the back of the net.

Halle Ezell was able to touch a bobbled ball by the 'keeper over to the senior, Kaltwasser, who slammed home her third goal of the year and tied the game at 1. In the 63
rd minute, Gentry stole the ball from the Cardinals outside the 18-yard box and beat three defenders to slot home the winner for the Saints.
