Las Vegas, Nev. - The Maryville women's bowling team finished in sixth place at the Stormin' Blue and White Vegas Classic. The Saints posted five wins in their contests in Las Vegas, Nev.

In the Baker matches, the Saints defeated Tulane, Spalding and Maryland Eastern Shore in the first five contests. Moving to the traditional matches, Maryville picked up a win over Grambling State Sunday. The championship bracket saw the Saints narrowly edged by No. 3 Nebraska, dropping the final match by just eight pins. The Saints rebounded by winning the first four matches versus Maryland Eastern Shore. Maryville battled Mount St. Mary's but lost by one pin in the sixth match that would have forced a decisive seventh.

Brianna Schmidt led the Saints with a 205 average, good for 13th place overall.
Anna Maxwell took 17th overall after averaging 203 and in the 28th spot was
Bailey Delrose with a 196.
Keagan Trexler also averaged 196 and was one spot back, while
Macailin Rodriguez recorded a 195 average, to place 31st in the field.

The Saints will next be in action Jan. 21-23 at the Northeast Classic.
