GREEN BAY, Wis. – The 2025-26 campaign for Maryville bowling has come to an end. The Saints ended their season with a sixth-place finish at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships in Green Bay, Wis. The No. 16-seeded Saints went 3-2 over the tournament, with wins over No. 8-seeded Duquesne, No. 5 Sacred Heart and No. 13 SCAD-Savannah.
The tournament, unlike the NCAA tournament is only in baker action. All matches in bracket play are done in a best of seven baker head-to-head style. Seeds were determined by 24 games of baker qualifying.
Thursday's action saw the Saints push No. 1 Jacksonville State but fall 4-1 to the eventual champs. Now in the backside of the bracket, the Saints battled back, winning 4-2 over Duquesne and then a massive upset win over No. 5 Sacred Heart in a 4-3 game seven win.
Another seven match set against SCAD-Savannah then followed, again falling the Saints way. Their run in the Cheese State ended in the red bracket semifinals, falling in four games to North Carolina A&T, the No. 4 seed.
Jacksonville State were crowned as the champions for this season, winning over McKendree in the finals.
