Antoinette Mussorici tallied 19 points to lead the Maryville women's basketball team to a 72-65 triumph at Quincy.
Hunter Stidham added 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while
Taylor Kirby finished with 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds. The Saints shot 50 percent in the contest, hitting 26-of-52 attempts from the field, including 8-of-15 from 3-point range.

What Happened:
Both teams shot over 50 percent in the first half as the Saints took a narrow 37-36 lead into the break. Quincy was up 47-44 early in the third before the Saints went on a 9-0 burst to surge ahead. Mussorici scored on a layup to start the run, and
Maddy Meehan tallied inside. After two Kirby free throws, Stidham splashed in a triple for a 53-47 advantage.

The Saints opened the fourth quarter on a 7-2 run. Mussorici scored on a layup, and
Abby Weis drained a 3-pointer. Kirby hit a layup as Maryville built a 62-52 cushion. The Hawks cut the lead down to two but Weis drilled a 3-pointer for a 70-65 edge with 2:32 to play. Maryville's defense shut out the rest of the way as the Hawks three missed field goals and committed a pair of turnovers. Weis converted two free throws in the waning seconds to seal the victory.
