Taylor Kirby recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds and dished a career-high four assists but could not prevent the Maryville women's team from a 68-58 loss at Illinois Springfield.
Haidyn Pitsch scored a career-best 18 points to go along with four assists for the Saints.

What Happened:
Kirby scored the first points of the game and a 3-pointer by Pitsch gave the Saints a quick 5-0 lead. Maryville maintained the edge and went up 13-6 after a layup by
Hunter Stidham. UIS chipped away and edged to an 18-17 lead after one. The hosts built an eight-point margin before Kirby's layup brought the deficit down to 31-27 at halftime.

UIS was up 36-27 until the Saints scored six straight points. Stidham drilled a 3-pointer and Kirby made one free throw.
Olivia Kastens' drive and bucket pulled Maryville back to just 38-33. The Prairie Stars went on an 11-2 run to take a double-digit advantage. Down 60-44 early in the fourth,
Antoinette Mussorici made one free throw, and
Carsyn Fearday drained a triple. Pitsch followed from deep as the Saints closed to 62-54 with 3:37 left but would not get any closer.
