Dylan Ingram and
Daniel Farris led the Maryville men's basketball team with 13 points apiece but Southwest Baptist sent the Saints to a 74-66 defeat.
Jaeden Smith contributed 12 points on four 3-pointers, and
Cameron Scales finished with 11 as the Saints saw four players score in double figures.

What Happened:
Trailing 20-18, the Saints scored eight straight points to surge ahead.
Ben Palacios sank two free throws, and an Ingram triple put Maryville on top. Scales followed with a triple for a 26-20 edge. Another try by Scales built Maryville's largest margin of the day at 29-22. SBU closed the half on a 13-2 run and grabbed a 35-31 edge at the break.

The deficit grew to as many as 12 before the Saints closed the gap. Down 47-37,
Harrison Vickers knocked down a 3-pointer, and Smith did the same as Maryville got to within 47-43. The Saints would not let SBU pull away as the Bearcat lead was 56-50 with just under nine minutes left. Ingram grabbed an offensive board for a put back, and two Farris free throws trimmed the margin to just 56-54.
Ari Jackson converted a driving layup as the Saints got to within 61-58 but were unable to forge a tie.
