Quincy, Ill. – Led by a season-high 18 points from
Daniel Farris , the Maryville men's basketball team had five players score in double figures but Quincy rallied late to down the Saints 85-77.
Dylan Ingram finished with 16 points, and
Ari Jackson added 14.
Ben Palacios and
Jaeden Smith chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

What Happened:
The score was tied 18-18 before the Saints embarked on a 7-0 run. Palacios splashed in a 3-pointer, and
Gary Pendleton scored on a layup. Ingram powered up for a layup and a 25-18 lead. Farris hit a layup and
Cameron Scales nailed a jumper for a 31-22 advantage. A Smith triple put the Maryville edge at 34-25 but QU came back to take a 40-39 lead. The Saints drained three straight 3-pointers to end the half and take a 48-40 edge.

Early in the second half, Jackson found the range from deep, and a Farris layup boosted the Saints to a 59-48 lead. Ingram scored inside for a 61-50 edge with 11:27 to play. The Hawks went on an 11-2 run to close the gap to two. Farris converted two at the free-throw line and a 71-69 advantage. However, that would prove to be Maryville's last lead as Quincy used a 10-2 run to move on top. Jackson scored to cut the gap to four but QU hit six straight at the stripe to seal the win.
